We have 6,8 and 10 pod bed rooms, and 12 private rooms which are transformed from former cells for prisoners! Especially many female-only rooms and facilities available for ladies!

CoDE Pod Hostels – THE CoURT is in the middle of Royal Mile – the main thoroughfare of the Old Town in Edinburgh, surrounded by various bars, restaurants (especially Scottish restaurants!) and major tourist attractions. Edinburgh Castle and National Museum of Scotland, where you can find out more about the history of the the beautiful city Edinburgh. You’re in the centre of town so can easily walk to the University of Edinburgh and the main street – Princes Street in a few minutes. It’s also an easy walk in the same direction to Waverley Station.

Little Known History of the CoURT building

The A-listed CoURT building on 1A  Parliament Square was originally designed as the Edinburgh Police Chambers and contained both holding cells and courtroom facilities including the former District Court. The Police Chambers opened in 1840 and acted as the Police Headquarters until 1974 when it moved to Fettes. Within the chambers would have been the Police Commissioners Room, the public court , and the cells. The chambers remained operational and although other cells existed within stations across the city, the cells there were the main holdings for criminals in Edinburgh until the St Leonards Station opened around 1988.
