Credit for a future stay at CoDE..

In these uncertain times we understand that you might need to change your travel plans and that this is out of your control.

We have implemented a credit system to give travellers with a non-refundable reservation the flexibility to change their reservation.

Conditions to apply for the credit

The credit will have a value which is equivalent to the full amount of the reservation. Which is the total room cost and any additional items, that was paid by you. 

You will only receive a credit if you are cancelling a reservation with a non-refundable rate or if the cancellation date is within 3 days of your arrival date.

Furthermore you will only receive a credit if your cancellation meets the conditions stated below:

  • The cancellation must be made for a stay at one of the CoDE Pod hostels in Edinburgh.
  • The cancellation must be for a stay with check-in date between 19 March 2020 and 30 June 2020.
  • The cancellation must be made in writing by email. You can do this by replying to the confirmation email you have received from us when you made the reservation.
    • If you have made a reservation through an online website such as Booking.com or Hostelworld, then please get in touch with their customer service to cancel your reservation.
      • When you cancel through one of these online websites, please accept the cancellation charges.
  • The cancellation must be successfully completed before noon on the day of arrival
  • The credit will not be issued on past stays or any reservation that has already been cancelled or lapsed (whether as a no-show or otherwise).

Conditions for redeeming a credit

The credit will be valid for any stay between 19 March 2020 and 30 December 2021.  

Your new reservation must meet the following conditions:

  • The new reservation must be made in writing by email to the property you’d like to stay (The LoFT or The CoURT)
  • The new reservation will be on a non-refundable basis
  • You may only redeem one credit per reservation. Any amount that is not applied in that transaction will be forfeited and accordingly, no credit will remain after it is used once. 
  • If the price for a new reservation is higher than the value of the credit, you will be required to pay the difference.
  • The credit is linked to your email address. The request for the new reservation will have to be made from that same email address.

General

  • Rooms are subject to availability at the time of booking. CoDE Pod Hostels reserves the right to (i) amend these terms and (ii) change or cancel any credit, at any time in connection with any circumstances outside of its control.
  • The credit is not redeemable for cash or any other form of credit and have no value until presented for redemption in accordance with the terms and conditions stated above.
